A trouble-free week — 2192 Km

The blue beast of burden seems to be in the zone. I am very happy with the rear wheel, bottom bracket and tires. Good investments all around. Brake pads still look good. The thumb shifter for the front derailer may be a little wonky. Not sure yet. It may just need tightening. Other than that, no problems to report.

Cleaned the bike, lubed the drive train. That’s it for this week. A clean bike runs better. Isnt’ that what they say?

I took the SC1800 out on a couple of evening rides this week, as well as its daily commute. As cold weather creeps colder, I expect I’ll be riding it even more than I am now. I’m a lazy bastard at heart. It’s hard work digging my good bikes out of the basement (at least in my mind), and it hardly seems worth it for a 25 Km ride.
