3,000 Km inspection

I took a week of holiday last week and didn’t ride a single kilometer other than a Sunday ride with Mike. Back to commuting this week, though, in colder temperatures, ice on the ground, all of that.

The SC1800 is running just fine, no problems to report. A cleaning of the drive train and quick tightening of the brake cables were the only adjustments required. I have noticed, just like the Dude at Maple Leaf Test Rides, that the odometer doesn’t seem to be enjoying the colder morning temperatures, or being left out all night. It’s usually a bit fogged up in the morning, sometimes hard to see the numbers. I may have to start bringing it inside… but that’s just another thing to think about and I’m not sure I’ll do it. My commute route doesn’t vary much, and comes out to about 14 Km per day. I can do it without an odometer, if it comes down to it, and still peg my mileage pretty accurately.
