The Bike of Doom

Interested in advertising on Bike of Doom? As of March, 2008, we’re getting about 25,000 pageviews every month from 6,000 visitors, all of whom are interested in cycling, bikes, commuting by bike, and bicycle maintenance. If this is the crowd you want to reach, this is the place to reach them!

At the moment, I’m offering run-of-site ads, only ad in rotation, on the top banner (468 x 60 ), the large rectangle at the bottom of the first post ( 336 x 280), and the sidebar skyscraper (160 x 600). Check out the site… ad space not sold will have AdSense in it. If somebody wants it, I will add a leaderboard (728 x 90) above or below the header area.

Pricing is as follows:

160 x 160 sidebar square: $25 per month (est $1 CPM)

336 x 280 rectangle: $50 per month (est $2 CPM)

468 x 60 banner: $100 per month (est $4 CPM)

160 x 600 sidebar: $100 per month (est $4 CPM)

728 x 90 LeaderBoard: $150 per month (est $6 CPM)

Are those CPM rates high? Perhaps, for a general interest site. But this is not a general interest site. Our visitor demographic is quite narrow. If it’s the audience you want to reach, those CPM rates are better than reasonable.*
