Welcome to the Bike of Doom. Glad you could drop by. Before you dig into the blog, I’d like to be clear about one thing. In this blog I write about test riding a cheap department store bike. I am not recommending, however, in any way whatsoever, that any reader of this blog go out and buy a bike from a department store. I am a supporter of my Local Bike Shop(s), and I think that’s where you need to go to buy a bike. There are a few posts listed below. At the very least, please read the first of those to get my full opinion on buying a department store bike.
